Within walking distance of famous surf spots like Cardiff Reef, Tippers, 85’s, Turtles, Pipes, and Swamis, and just across the street from the campground at San Elijo State Beach, Patagonia Cardiff is a surf-oriented store located in yesteryear’s Hotel Cardiff, built in 1911. We carry a robust selection of Patagonia clothing and gear for board and body surfing, outdoor sport, everyday living and travel, along with wetsuits, surfboards and paddleboards. Community minded, we’ve given close to $1 million in environmental grants to local groups and regularly organize beach cleanups, surfboard swap meets and recycling events.

Patagonia Cardiff is now open for limited in-store shopping or curbside pickup—and we’re following all CDC recommended protocols to keep you safe. Here’s what you can expect.
Limited In-Store Shopping
We’re excited to welcome you back in the store, but a few things have changed for our collective safety.
- We are limiting the amount of people who can be in the store at once. - Employees and customers must remain 6 feet apart and adhere to floor markings while waiting in line. - We are cleaning the store more frequently, especially product displays, counters, registers, payment devices and fitting rooms. - Employees are washing their hands more often. - Hand sanitizer and alcohol wipes are available for employees and customers alike. - Garments are getting steamed regularly to maintain cleanliness. - No hugging or high fives. Smiles, peace signs and words of encouragement are most welcome.
Curbside Pickup
Curbside pickup allows you to shop online and then swing by the store to grab your order. Most orders are ready within two business hours.
